“New year, new opportunities

Cochlear is excited to announce the relaunch of the Graeme Clark and Anders Tjellström Scholarship programmes, with applications open from January 2025.

In honour of our pioneers, these academic scholarships are open to Cochlear™ Nucleus®, Baha® and Osia® system recipients looking to further themselves by undertaking university or vocational studies. The winner is chosen based on their demonstrated commitment to the ideals of leadership and humanity, their academic achievements, and their extracurricular and community involvement. The scholarship is worth £6,000 (€7,000) which we hope will help alleviate some financial burden.

“Winning the scholarship allowed me the freedom to focus on my studies. I was able to achieve the result I felt truly reflected my abilities and passion” Katie, previous winner.

In addition to the academic scholarships, we are pleased to introduce the Cochlear Family Achieve Award, which will recognise recipients who are excelling in non-academic pursuits. This new award honours those who have overcome challenges associated with hearing loss and are achieving incredible non-academic feats; from athletic and artistic talents, to effecting positive change in the world. Open to all Cochlear™ hearing implant recipients, applicants are asked to submit their story of achievement. 1 winner will be awarded £1500 prize money, and one runner up receives £500.

We take enormous pride in supporting our recipients in achieving their potential and we hope you will encourage your children or anyone you know to consider applying. Applications close on 31 March. For any questions, please contact [email protected]
