The perfect wintery production adapted from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s award-winning storybook
The Gruffalo said that no gruffalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood…
Follow the Gruffalo’s Child on her adventurous mission in Tall Stories’ enchanting adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s Child ignores her father’s warnings about the Big Bad Mouse and tiptoes out into the deep dark wood. She follows snowy tracks and encounters mysterious creatures – but the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist… does he?
As part of The Gruffalo’s Child’s tour around the country, Tall Stories are providing accessible performances accommodating deaf, disabled, visually impaired and neurodivergent audiences.
Working in partnership with our venues we are offering a variety of accessible performances with integrated British Sign Language – our signers don’t just stand on the side of the stage, they get involved with the action; audio described performances as well as touch tours where audiences can familiarise themselves with the set and props; and relaxed performances for those who need a more laid back environment to enjoy the show. There is also a Relaxed Performance Guide available to download from our website here, which gives audiences even more of an insight into what to expect from our show so there are no unnecessary surprises. We want to ensure that all children and their families can see our show and enjoy the magic of theatre.
