Content
We have all moved to a virtual world where online therapy is becoming the norm and hybrid services may become the new normal.
• What does this mean for the children with whom we work?
• Is a listening and spoken language outcome possible?
• How can we coach parents and ensure that children’s language is monitored and developed effectively?
Join us for an interactive presentation and discussion with practical examples that will explore telepractice techniques, tips and research. Review videos of children who have received online services and hear from parents regarding their experiences. Consider how to assess children’s listening remotely, plan age-appropriate activities for children under the age of five and make screen time a positive experience for parents of children who are deaf.
Hear from Larissa McColgan who has completed one year of Advanced Training towards Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) certification. Larissa will share her experience of AVT as well as those of parents receiving AVT in Scotland.
There will the opportunity to ask questions regarding telepractice, parent coaching, Auditory Verbal Therapy and training.
