Join online training course and leave with an understanding of what executive functioning is and why we need to know more to support children with hearing loss. This course will be run over two days, with afternoon sessions to facilitate attendance. The course will include:
- An overview of what executive functioning is and what cluster of skills it involves.
- Why is important from developing speech and language skills to accessing the whole curriculum.
- The Teenage brain and executive functions.
- Strategies and practical materials to support children and teens when emotion regulation and impulse control are the big issues.
- Putting knowledge into practice in therapy sessions: sharing ideas and resources.
- Case Studies.
