We’ll cover a range of deaf-specific topics, with information about learning and development, the impact deafness may have on a child in an early years setting, and how to improve childcare provision. These sessions will cover children with all levels of deafness.
We’ll also support you to plan how you can apply your new skills for individual children in your setting.

Together We Can Implement Effective Transition for Deaf Children
In this session, we’ll discuss the importance of transition and how a positive, smooth experience can benefit deaf children.
We’ll look at the barriers to effective transition and how to overcome these. We’ll also identify key players in the transitional process and everyone can play their role to support the child through this time.
