On Thursday 3rd October (from 9.30am until 12.30pm) NatSIP will be delivering an online training course, through Microsoft Teams, for non-SI specialist Head Teachers and senior leaders in schools with SI resource bases (RBs). This course has been developed at the request of colleagues working with Head Teachers who have expressed an interest in understanding more about the inclusion of learners with deafness, multi-sensory and vision impairment in their schools and the specialist staff supporting them.
The training will be led by experienced Heads of SI services who work closely with Head Teachers in their LAs and there will be input from SI teachers in charge of resource bases (including the lead of the BATOD Resource Provision special interest group).
You may be aware of Head Teachers and senior leaders in schools in your organisation and areas and perhaps some newly appointed from September who would welcome this opportunity to learn and discuss more about the inclusion of the specialist RBs in their provision. We would be very grateful if you could promote this course as widely as possible and get the date in their busy diaries! Information is available on the NatSIP website through this link:

A booking form will be available for completion from 3rd September to reserve a place.
