n this FREE introductory webinar, you will learn about the core elements of Auditory Verbal (AV) therapy and how they support the development of listening and spoken language in deaf babies and preschool children.
You will also be guided through a full Auditory Verbal (AV) therapy session and learn about how to put the theory into practice. You’ll find out how the AV therapist coaches and collaborates with caregivers who, in turn, develop the listening and interactional strategies that support spoken language development.

Presenter bio: Noel Kenely
Noel is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist. He is one of the clinical leads at AVUK where he delivers therapy to families of deaf babies and preschool deaf children, as well as providing training to other professionals in AV therapy.
Noel has worked in the field of deafness for over 20 years, initially working as a Sign Language Interpreter in Malta. He went on to train to become a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist in 2012 and certified as an Auditory Verbal Therapist in 2016.
