Do disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare? – new inquiry and consultation

Er mwyn cyflawni hyn, bydd y Tîm Ymgysylltu â Dinasyddion yn cynnal cyfweliadau teuluol â rhieni, gofalwyr, plant a phobl ifanc o bob rhan o Gymru i gael eu barn ar y cwestiwn: A yw plant a phobl ifanc anabl yn cael mynediad cyfartal i addysg a gofal plant?
Bydd y cyfweliadau yn ystyried gofynion pob teulu. Er enghraifft, gellir eu cynnal wyneb yn wyneb os yw hyn yn well. Gallwn gynnig cymorth gyda chyfieithu ar y pryd neu ddehongli. Rydym yn fodlon ystyried gofynion eraill i sicrhau ein bod yn lleihau unrhyw rwystrau i deuluoedd rhag cymryd rhan.
Bydd straeon a phrofiadau’n cael eu casglu, eu dadansoddi a’u hadlewyrchu mewn Nodyn Crynodeb dienw a fydd yn cael ei rannu ag Aelodau’r Pwyllgor yn ystod yr ymchwiliad. Cesglir data yn unol â’r Hysbysiad Preifatrwydd Cyfathrebu ac Ymgysylltu.

Further to our earlier email, the Committee want to hear from families with lived experience.
To achieve this the Citizen Engagement Team will be conducting family interviews with parents, carers, children and young people from across Wales to capture their views on the question: Do disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare?
Interviews will be mindful of each family’s requirements. For example, they can be conducted face to face if this is preferable. We can offer support with interpretation. We are willing to consider other requirements to ensure we minimise any barriers for families taking part.
Stories and experiences will be collected, analysed and reflected in an anonymised Summary Note which will be shared with the Committee Members during the inquiry. Data will be collected in line with the Communications and Engagement Privacy Notice.
