Action for Captions – QToD feedback sought

Posted in News

See request below.
The survey is open to QToDs, schools and professionals across the UK.
“We are Sound Waves Foundation (SWF), a charity set up by two mothers to deaf children. We are inviting you to participate in our Live Captioning in Schools survey. Your unique insights and experiences are invaluable to us, and we believe that your input can help present the case to shape the future of accessible technology in education.
Our ground-breaking campaign ‘Action for Captions’ wants every classroom in the country to have live captioning available. The goal is to make education more accessible for deaf children in mainstream schools by making spoken language visible and, in doing so, benefiting many others. SWF raises awareness of the use of free live captioning software and helps schools implement it in their classrooms.
The survey is designed to be short and straightforward, taking less than a minute to complete; your responses will be anonymous. The feedback collected will be used as part of the case to be shared with government ministers, policy advisors and national organisations for them to consider the use of live captions in education settings across the UK.
Help us improve access to learning in schools!”
