Alder Hey will be hosting the national Implantable Acoustic Devices conference in Liverpool on the 10-11th of October this year.
This event has previously been aimed at Audiologists and ENT surgeons. Following successful local engagement day with our colleagues working in educational audiology, we are extending the invite to all educational audiologist teams locally.
The organisers are offering a one day special rate for colleagues working in education.
The programme covers implantable bone conduction and middle ear devices. There will also be information regarding CROS devices.
There will be special workshops for education colleagues running alongside the main programme, with attendance and sponsorship from Med-El, Cochlear and Oticon Medical. Workshops will give attendees chance to get experience pairing implantable acoustic devices to assistive listening aids, learn how to perform listening checks and get more information regarding referral criteria.
