Want to know more about working with deaf children?
Come to our workshop ‘Effective Signing with Children” where you will delve into the world of fairy tales and storytelling. We will explore the best ways to express yourself using visual and appropriate sign language with young children. There will also be an opportunity to watch and practise some visual vernacular.
The workshop will be split over two evenings sessions (3 hours each)
During the workshop you will learn:
- How to sign effectively with children
- How to use a range of signed definitions appropriately
- How to maximise use of visual elements of sign language grammar
- Various perspectives of communicating with young children
