Online conference
30th November 2021
9:00am – 5:00pm
Are you a professional working with deaf young people (aged 13 to 25 years) who are beginning to think about moving into employment or gaining work experience?
This year’s conference will bring together leaders and practitioners to share practical ideas and best practice for supporting deaf young people in their journey into employment. We’ll provide the necessary information to support them with whatever they want to achieve in their career. It will be an opportunity for you to enhance your skills and hear about experiences first-hand from deaf young people in employment.
Don’t miss our early bird offer! A limited number of tickets are available at a discounted rate of £90, on a first come, first served basis.
Conference overview
Deaf people work in a wide range of roles from doctors to musicians to electricians. With the right support deaf people can work everywhere but are twice as likely to be unemployed as their hearing peers. Deaf young people are poorly informed about their rights and the support available to them in the workplace. However, together we can together make a difference in closing the employment gap.
