BATOD has received the following request from Emily Wright:
I am a Speech and Language Therapist conducting a research project on English as an Additional Language (EAL) in children who are deaf and have cochlear implants. This MSc/PhD research project is being funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council at the University of Reading.
The first part of the project is a questionnaire investigating the advice professionals in the UK give to parents regarding a deaf child’s ability to acquire two spoken languages.
If you are a Teacher of the Deaf, Speech and Language Therapist or Audiologist who currently works in the UK with deaf children (aged 0-18 years old), I would be very grateful if you could please complete the questionnaire via the link below by the 1st July.
Please do complete the questionnaire even if you don’t have any deaf children with EAL on your caseload (as it is looking at your professional opinions).
